Well, I haven't blogged for ages and for once I actually have important news. Well, maybe not important, but something has happened that I can tell you about:
I have a dog! I always said I wasn't going to get them, because despite loving them, they're so much trouble and I only have a small house and anyway I like German Shepherds and you just can't have one of them in a little terraced house with a tiny garden, plus they scare all your visitors away, which can be fun with double glazing salesmen, but is just a tad irritating with your friends. Well anyway, I was thinking about it and realised that I do actually like other people's dogs that are not in fact German Shepherds. Whilst I will never like little yappie dogs, medium-sized dogs can be lovely. So, with that it mind I dragged Helen and Rob around the rescue centres in Leicester. Poor Helen doesn't like dogs, so it was a bit traumatic, you may ask why I would force her into this, but there was logic behind it, by taking someone who doesn't like dogs, we could try to find a dog that she would tolerate. Well, we did better than that, we found Rex, a 2 year old Border Collie, who Helen actually likes. Yay! He's incredibly friendly and just wants love. I first saw him a couple of Saturdays ago, then began dog-proofing of the garden. Finally a house-check and then on Saturday i went to pick him up. He's settling in quite well and I am enjoying taking him for walks. I know that walking a dog twice a day is irritating, but the walking thing was one of the reasons for getting him, I have no will-power, if it's left to me I just won't bother exercising, he doesn't give me a lot of choice, he has to have walks, so I may actually get fit, walking for 2-3 hours a day will have to have some effect on my fitness I would think.
I will stop boring you now and perhaps eject the dog from the room as he appears to have farted, I guess it's a bit late though, the smell is already here.

Is Usher a monkey? Whenever I check my referral logs I seem to find another person has searched for usher and monkey or usher looks like a monkey. Odd.
