Okay, fed up with not finding it available online anywhere, so I went to the website and did the listen again thing, found the song and recorded it. So now you too can listen to the
Geoff Man song and for completeness sake here's the
Remix.
Am I the only one who keeps getting the "Geoff Man" song from
The Chris Moyles Show in my head? I love it, I think it's great, but I searched the web to see if anyone else mentions it and come up with nothing. Weird. I tried various different sections of the song and variations on the spelling of Geoff, but nope. It's not like I even listen to Chris Moyles much because it's too early, I used to listen to him on the way home from work, but then he swapped to breakfast, leaving me with the highly irritating Sarah Cox, so now I take my CD player in the car, or listen to Radio Two and I only hear Chris Moyles for about ten minutes on the couple of mornings I work, or for a few seconds when my radio alarm wakes me and I turn it off, unless like this morning, they're doing something very good and I leave it on. So anyway, in my limited listening to Chris Moyles in the morning I've heard this song about 4 or 5 times, I heard it the very first time they did it, when they messed up the words and timing and everything and have caught it a few times since and this morning they played it and followed it up with a remix that someone had sent, which was great.
Of course I realise that many readers, living as they do outside the UK will not have heard of Chris Moyles and will have no idea what I'm talking about and anyway the Geoff man song probably isn't funny if you're not familiar with the
Geordie dialect in particular the usage of the words man and pet and probably
Byker Grove too, 'cos of the whole Geoff thing and "And Ant and Dec man".
I'm aware I've not been as descriptive of the song as I could be, okay basically it's to the Johnny Briggs theme tune and over the top in time to the music Dominic sings the names of various people from the Chris Moyles show, plus of course Ant and Dec and Geoff (from Byker Grove, obviously Ant and Dec are from Byker Grove too, but they are probably better known now as TV presenters and anyway, their characters were of course PJ and Duncan). I don't know all of the words, that's why I was searching online, I may have to go and listen to the show off the website again to work them all out, because no one seemed to have them. I can't even find them at
Chris Moyles.net an unofficial site which has loads of stuff about the Chris Moyles show including downloads of all the songs they've done.
Hmm, this isn't a very interesting post, I can't think of anything terribly exciting. It feels a bit of a down day today anyway after the excitement of
Onion Day yesterday.
Random observation of the day
Look, I've posted two days running. Maybe I'll get back into the swing of this blogging malarky.
