Oh, I know what else I did that I haven't mentioned. I saw Seven Samurai at The Phoenix on Monday. It was very good. I really enjoyed it, very long though, which meant getting very uncomfortable in those cramped little cinema seats, they're much smaller than the ones at The Odeon where I went that same evening to see X2 which was good, I think it was better than the first X-Men film, but it wasn't as good as Seven Samurai. I borrowed some DVDs off a friend too, so I saw Taxi which I quite enjoyed and Amelie which I thought was fantastic! It was really well thought out and entertaining. It's definitely got onto my list of recommends. Having watched 3 subtitled films over the weekend though I got to the point that it was really odd to hear English on screen. Particularly in the middle of Amelie when a programme is shown onscreen, so you suddenly hear English and see French subtitles. For a second I couldn't understand because I was looking for the English subtitles.
